When deciding whether to approve your application and grant a commutation of your sentence, the governor will consider the following factors, among others:
- The nature and severity of your crime
- The sentence imposed
- Harm suffered by victims
- The age of the crime and your age at the time the crime took place
- Your age at the time of the application
- How much of your sentence you have already served
- The impact of a commutation on the community
- Your plans upon release from custody
- Your conduct since the crime
- Your rehabilitation during incarceration
